You might say, need I say more. It was so awesome.. I’ve been pulling for the Phillies not because they won last year. I do like their colors, but their players are just spectacular. Chase Utley, Jaysen Werth. Home run hitters, their just great. The yankees have won 40 penants, and like 29 world series or some mumbo jumbo like that. That is alot for one team. The Oakland A’s have won 9 world series.. That’s great. I love the A’s. I was praying that no one would sweep, and we would go to a game six or seven and this is the first game six in 7 years or something, 2001/2002. I want to see a game seven, because then baseball will be over till the spring. To bad they didnt have the best of 14 games instead of seven… Go Phillies!!!! Go Phillies!!!!!
well kyle busch won himself another one last night…. He just keeps on keeping on…. The boys are in charlotte this weekend,, the chase is on……………..

I feel like I hit a dry spell in my sports writing lately. Yet, I’ve been watching enough sports as the next person. Last weeks Nascar race, Joey Logano wrecked, and did a 7 1/2 flip till he came to a stop. Shook him up pretty good, that was in Dover at the monster mile. This weekend past, in the Nationwide race, he passes Kyle Busch on the outside with two laps to go, to take the win at Kansas. Tony Stewart took the win yesterday in the sprint cup, it was a long race at the Kanas speedway, 267 mile and a half laps. It was Great for Tony, he still sits fourth in points, he was on top, but was knocked down a few races back or so. Did I say that Kyle Busch finished second in the Nationwide race. Well, Karma goes along way.The national hockey league has begun. Detroit played in sweden again the St. Louis Blues, the blues took them 5-3 in the end, they were close to being tied up through most of the game. The Cowboys game, that was fabulous, the funny thing is I cant remember who beat them with one second left, oh wait, it was the Broncos. That was a great game. The Steelers and the Chargers last night, that was a really good game, the chargers just kept coming back, the Steelers did end up winning 38 to 28…Tonight, the Packers and the Vikings…Never been a Viking fan, but love the Packers… So we’ll see how that goes. There should be some good hockey on tonight. Baseball seems to be wrapping itself up, the world series should be rolling around soon. I just dont watch enough baseball to know when it all starts, the playoffs are soon though I believe. Like I said, hadnt been for the dry spell, I would have been writing more…

This weekend starts the beginning of the chase, for 12 lucky drivers. Kyle Busch did not make the chase this year. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh,, Im so heartbroken. Seriously not. He just doesnt know to much about Karma. He is a great driver, he’s young, and he has that mine set, hell I dont know where his mind set is. Does anybody? All I can say is Karma, smash a trophy, and yea, Karma will take its course.
I am setting my sights on Tony Stewart to win the championship, even though Jimmie Johnson has come from behind three years in a row and came out with a win. Carl Edwards came a close second, in both the Nationwide, and the Sprint Cup. Ryan Newman also made the chase, which is awesome, because its his first year with Stewart-Haas racing, and they both make it in. Mark Martin is in, Brian Vickers, Juan pablo montoya, and a few others per say. I think it will be an exciting ten race stretch to see who takes the win. The Sprint Cup Championship,, which the cup is a Flag, not a cup, you cant pour any liquids in it, so its not a cup, its a flag. May the best driver win.

May we all have a moment silence in the memory of those who left us on that tragic day.

I have not written in several weeks it seems. I’m still watching my drivers in nascar, the sprint, nationwide, and the truck series.. Kyle Busch got himself a few victories last week. The Boys were in Bristol last week. This week has been such a blurr that I dont even know where they are this week. Fontana maybe?
Tony Stewart is still in the points lead, quite a few drivers are doing what they can to make it into the chase. Doesn’t look like Jr is going to make it this year. I dont think he needs to worry to much. He is fantastic regardless. If he stopped racing tomorrow, he would still always be an awesome person, in or out of the car. I havent met Jr. yet, you’d think though right. Maybe someday I’ll meet him, someday, before I die.
You know, its one of those bucket list things. I’d like to meet Dale Jr, and one of my favorite actors of all time, Cliff DeYoung, he’s my second cousin, but I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting him, he’s been in a mega amount of movies over the years since I was a kid.
But back to Dale Jr. Yea, I would love to meet him before I’m 50. Maybe this year at Texas Motor Speedway in November, that would be awesome.
Last night it poured rain down here in central texas, first rain we’ve had in over a month. We’ve had approximately 64 days of triple digit weather, so yea, the down pour last night was awesome.
Football has basically started, most pre-season seems to be finishing up. I havent made it through a single game yet. Go Raiders, Go 49ers, and go Packers………
Hockey will be starting in about two months. I cant wait for that, and early fall would be nice though, temperatures in the 60’s or something. My Redwings I think are still the best team ever, so I can see my wings making the playoffs again. Dallas has a new coach, Marc Crawford, maybe he can pull the stars out of their slump, and if he cant, ha, their a lost cause. Yea, not a stars fan one bit. I watch more hockey than any other sport. Hockey and Nascar though. Nascar goes through November, and Hockey starts in October, so its like the best of both worlds for two months of the two best sports ever. Baseball is going on right now, I just cant get into it. Maybe because the game to me is so slow paced. I couldnt hit the ball if I wanted to if I were up to bat.

The last two weekends of Nascar, it was rained out. Sounds exactly like last season, rain where ever they seemed to go. So Pocono was postponed due to rain, the boys raced on Monday with Denny Hamlin taking the win. Last weekend, Watkins Glen, postponed due to rain, the boys again raced on Monday. Tony Stewart taking the win, which was his fifth win at Watkins Glen. There were several bad crashes that day. Everyone was okay though from what I read.
The week before, Ron Hornaday, won his 5th truck race in a row. Ron Hornaday who drives for Kevin Harvick, has been on fire, victory lane is where he has been parked.
Kyle Busch on the other hand, has a continuation of finishing second. Ten or nine in a row, which makes me laugh, I watch the races just too see him not win or come in second. Karma!!!!!!!! Maybe next time he’ll think before destroying his trophy in victory lane.
As for the rain and Nascar, I wish that they would shove some rain down to Texas. Because where ever they are it rains, and we’ve got absolutely nothing. We’re in a drought and extremely high temperatures for days on end. Nascar, give us the rain. Ha. I’ll believe that when I’m standing in victory lane with a winning driver.

Friday nights truck race was awesome, Ron Hornaday won his fourth straight in a row. The nationwide series, Carl Edwards did a flip for victory, and Kyle Busch came in second. Wowza, and he actually didnt comment on his second place finish like so many other times. “I just show up to finish second”. Second it will be, as far as I can see into the future.
Jimmie Johnson took the win at Indy, his third Indy 400 win at the brickyard. Juan Pablo Montoya led most of the race, with Mark Martin on his tail, and Dale Jr. running up front all day. Kyle Busch ended up hitting the wall, and knocking himself out, later to get back on the track for points. Jr’s engine did a little blowing up dance. Jimmie Johnson finished first, Mark Martin second, Tony Stewart third, three hendricks cars, and Tony Stewarts engine all in the top ten. All and all it was a pretty good race, not a whole lot of cautions, three maybe four at the most, but a nice finish to a semi-long race.

As I’ve always wanted to be a news broadcaster, writing about things was always one of the things I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years. I’ve been around along time, watching the Greats do the news, the nightly news. Since the early 70’s that I can recall back that far. Walter Cronkite, was just always fabulous, a name you would never forget, just as Peter Jennings, and Ed Bradley. They brought you the news, they brought you the stories. I will always remember them, I will never forget. Reporting the news, telling the stories, they did it the best.
May they be granted the peace, for we will always remember their names.

Wow, now if anyone missed the end of the Sprint Cup race on Saturday night, they missed one heck of an ending to a race.
The day before, Kyle Busch finished 2nd, and I was surprised that after the race he didnt comment like he has been, as to “he shows up to finish second”, and saturdays race, I missed most of it, listened to some via sirius, managed to get to see the last 8 laps. I would have to say they were nail bitting laps. Tony Stewart was in the lead for a while within the race, and it looked like he was going to take it at the end, but who is always hanging out in the back frame but Kyle Busch… With three laps to go, I think he pulled ahead of Tony, maybe not even 3, probably the last lap, Kyle’s in front Tony is behind him, Kyle is doing all this blocking and stuff, Tony honestly didnt get into him in the end. Kyle got loose and flew a little, swiping the top of Kasey Kahne’s car, and Stewart wins the race. I’m glad that Kyle wasnt hurt, to onery to get hurt. I’m most glad that he didnt win. All the people in the stands were cheering as Kyle didnt win. For every comment he whines about, I hope he finishes second or not at all. Congrats to Tony Stewart, he deserved it 100%.
