Nascar is great, there are a lot of fantastic drivers, there are a lot of rookies, and when I mean rookies, I mean drivers who just haven’t been driving long enough to know the do’s and dont’s at some or most of the tracks. It’s a very tough and grilling sport, some people don’t think it’s a sport. But yes, it’s a sport. It’s the old saying about baseball, if it was easy everyone would do it. Most car drivers are not very tall. The ones that are taller than most, 6 foot and plus, it’s hard for them to get in and out of their cars, but for the little guys, and I say little, because most of them, are shorter than I am, and I’m 5 ft 7in, normal height for most women. When you look at horse racing, the jockey’s are small, because they have to be light when riding so that the horse will go faster, same with the race car drivers, Indy car’s the guys and gals are small, the cars are uhhhhhh, big go cart’s. The other race car, stock car drivers, need to be lighter, and in shape, because races are long, and sometimes grueling for them. I wish I was a race car driver some days, that would be awesome, but it’s just as much work as any other regular job, and probably just as stressful, teammates, owners, fans alike. Rivalries with other drivers, tempers flaring, the whole nine yards, and it’s not even football.
Every once in a while, they’ll show this clip with Carl Edwards, where he is pretending to take a swing at Matt Kenseth, well if you put the two next to each other, Carl is twice the size of Matt, and could have knocked Matt out with one punch, but Carl was just playing around, but Matt flinched, so Matt actually thought that Carl was going to hit him.
What I like about Nascar the most of course, is the cars. I love cars, I love the die cast cars. I have so many different cars, and no place in my home to put them, someday, I’ll have a nice display case for all my cars. I’m working on my Nascar collection. My first collection of car’s, was die cast Police car’s, I almost collected all 50 states until I couldn’t find them in the stores anymore. I have all sorts of cars, though, and nice ones, some that I will never take out of the packaging. I am now starting to collect the Nascar cars, the big ones, the little ones, their just awesome. My favorite model of a car/truck is the 1972 Chevrolet custom long bed pickup, that is the most awesome model I’ve ever seen, yea, someday, I’ll have one of those just for cruising in.
I can tell you the numbers of the cars I don’t like. The number five car, the 15 car, the 55 car, the 25 car, you notice the five’s, fives are just a bad luck numbers. The 19 car, Sorry Elliot, I liked it better when you were in the 38 car, when it was M&M’s, I can still see you flipping through the air at Talladega. Double zero, uhhhhhhhh, hello, zero is not a number, no wonder it flipped. Ha, I don’t know why it flipped, I actually missed that race. The 41 car, adds up to a five, and there are a few others, I’m just drawing a blank right now.
The season is almost over, two more races to go. Then it’s a long wait till February, but that’s okay, because Football will go until January, and Hockey will go until May or early June. Wohooooooooooooo,, Go Detroit Redwings, oh and lets not forget about Basketball, Go Pistons!!!!!!!
